China, Indonesia hold First Ministerial Meeting of Joint Foreign and Defense Ministerial Dialogue in Beijing

  BEIJING, April 21 (Xinhua) -- China and Indonesia held the First Ministerial Meeting of Joint Foreign and Defense Ministerial Dialogue in Beijing on Monday. China, Vietnam coast guards conduct joint patrol in Beibu Gulf

  BEIJING, April 21 (Xinhua) -- Coast guards of China and Vietnam on Monday launched their first joint patrol of 2025 in the Beibu Gulf, according to an official statement from the China Coast Guard (CCG). CCG vessels Yongxing and Xisha joined Vietnamese coast guard ships 8004 and 8003 to form a joint fleet for the patrol. During the operation, the two sides will conduct law enforcement inspections of fishing vessels from both countries operating in the waters of the Beibu Gulf, work to regulate maritime fishing activities, respond effectively to emergencies at sea, and jointly safeguard maritime stability.

China, UAE to enhance investment cooperation

China's 8th batch of aid supplies arrives in quake-hit Myanmar

  YANGON, April 22 (Xinhua) -- The eighth batch of emergency humanitarian aid supplies dispatched by the Chinese government on Tuesday arrived at Yangon International Airport in Myanmar, which was devastated by a 7.9-magnitude earthquake on March 28. The aid supplies include 24,600 bone plates, 132,000 bone screws, 4,526 intramedullary nails, 30 sets of tool kits, 1 million bottles of sodium penicillin for injection, 400,000 bottles of metronidazole tablets, 90,000 boxes of cefradine capsules, 300 boxes of medical disinfectant tablets, and 2,000 barrels of medical iodine cotton swabs. Two giant pandas depart for Austria to begin decade-long stay

  CHENGDU, April 23 (Xinhua) -- Two giant pandas departed from southwest China's Sichuan Province on Wednesday bound for Austria, where they will spend the next decade at Vienna's Schoenbrunn Zoo as part of an ongoing conservation and research program between the two countries. The pandas, a male named He Feng and a female named Lan Yun, were born in 2020 and are described as energetic and gentle, respectively. Two Pakistani astronauts to receive spaceflight training in China

  BEIJING, April 23 (Xinhua) -- China will select and train two Pakistani astronauts for space missions, with one slated to serve as a payload specialist on a future Chinese space station flight, the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA) announced on Wednesday. The selected Pakistani astronaut will conduct scientific experiments designed by Pakistan while performing regular crew responsibilities when in orbit, CMSA spokesperson Lin Xiqiang told a press conference in Jiuquan in northwest China. The selection process for Pakistani astronauts is underway following the signing of a bilateral cooperation agreement in late February, Lin said. The selection involves a three-round procedure that includes a preliminary selection phase in Pakistan, and secondary and final selection phases in China, Lin said.
